Tanat

Tanat (Victoria), ex-Kawa, is a solid specialty coffee option in Paris: bottom line, yes, the coffee tastes good. Limited food choices (though fairly normal for a shop focused on coffee), but enough to pair with a drink. Atmosphere-wise there’s chill seating downstairs (that nobody seems to notice) with cool art, and a quiet outside patio in a low‑traffic corner of Châtelet.

Downsides: the brand of oat milk they use drags quality down in milk‑based drinks - makes latte or flat‑white feel flatter, with a strange aftertaste. Would also love if they offered vanilla or flavored syrups. Also sad they only do strictly coffee drinks; iced teas are overpriced and don’t pull non-coffee people in.

Friendly staff, high execution, but ideal for coffee purists only. Solid stop if you’re in the area, just manage expectations if you bring non‑coffee guys.
